Cook at home more often.
You’d be shocked to find out, but in America, the average citizen spends around $232 per month on eating out. For the first time in history, we spend way more money on restaurants than on groceries. You could save a couple of bucks and still be healthy if you cook at home more often.
Just plan your meals for the week ahead so you’ll have the right ingredients and avoid all the unnecessary trips to the grocery store, where the chances of you spending too much money are much higher.
Fall is genuinely the perfect season to bring out the slow cooker, too, and simplify the entire cooking process. You can make big pots of stew and any other meal that freezes well and would be good for leftovers.
Put that gym membership on hold until January.
The last couple of months of the year is also the busiest because of all those holidays at the end of the year. Just be honest with yourself about how often you can realistically hit the gym. Also, consider pausing your gym membership until next year or even canceling it entirely.
There are multiple ways in which you can exercise for free, such as by riding your bike, hiking, or even following YouTube exercise videos. Also, you can try some at-home weight and cardio workouts.
