- A Moka pot or stove espresso with 15 grams of coffee and 200 ml of milk will cost you $0.86 per cup. This means you will save around $3.14 per cup and $1,146 per year, as you will only spend $314 on coffee on a yearly basis.
- However, a French press where you put 8 grams of coffee and 200 ml of milk costs around $0.56, meaning $204 per year. This means that you will save $3.44 per cup and $1,255 per year.
- As for instant coffee, with 17 grams of coffee and 200 ml of milk, you pay $0.31 per cup and $113 per year (wow!), saving up $3.69 per cup and also $1,346 per year.
It’s easy to see how much money you can save if you make your own coffee at home, and we’re only talking about one cup! If you’re drinking more than just one cup a day, you will save even more!
Also, it’s worth mentioning that if you decide to make your coffee at home, you need a properly insulated coffee mug or a thermos. We highly recommend these! You will have more coffee to drink throughout the day, and it will be relatively hot!
