10. Toys and small gifts

When Christmas is over, shops are left with an excess stock of toys, spa gift baskets, cosmetic sets, and much more. These products are quickly moved to the clearance category to make way for regular merchandise again.

Similar to other things you should buy after Christmas, these items are much cheaper when the holidays are over. Watch for toy clearances at 70% off or more; buy toys for your kids’ or grandchildren’s birthdays; and keep them on hand for the birthdays of nephews or kids of friends.

You can also pick up a supply of adult presents for unexpected occasions. A spa set is a great present for returning kindness, welcoming new neighbors, or just saying thank you.
