4. Cash vs. credit
Fees are something any shopper hates to encounter. And if you want to be the best at avoiding them, then you should know when the best time is to use cash and when to use credit.
Do you know that there are many stores that will charge you an additional fee just because you are paying with your credit card? This is due to the fact that they must pay fees to credit card issuers for each and every transaction. And how do they compensate for it? They charge you an extra 3–5%. It might not seem much, but it is money that will add up over time.
For example, if there are no fees when you pay with your card, it is a good idea to use it because, in this way, you will get the credit card rewards and sometimes even the cash back.
