You may not notice it in the moment, but those constant trips to the grocery store, online retailers, or convenience stores can immediately empty your wallet. Did you know that spending just an extra $10 a week on little things can add up to more than $500 a year? That’s a nice chunk of change, if you ask me. For instance, this could make holiday gift shopping a breeze instead of a budget headache.

I’m not exactly the savviest person, because I do like to enjoy some gorgeous and more expensive things every now and then, but I always try to save money whenever I can. I like to buy food from grocery stores and farmers’ markets and then cook at home. I only buy coffee when I treat myself; I don’t go out as often, and I shop at Dollar Tree for different things.

If you’re like me and don’t like spending a fortune on party supplies or household essentials, you should visit this store ASAP. You can find a plethora of nice-looking things that are more affordable than at most stores. With that being said, here are my top favorite things from the Dollar Tree:

1. Movie theater snacks

You can call me stingy, but I hate paying an enormous amount of money for a tiny snack at the movie theater. Even though I know it’s not nice of me to sneak things into my purse when I go to watch a movie, I still do it.

If you’re like me and you need something to nibble while watching your favorite actors doing their magic on the big screen, I suggest you go to Dollar Tree and pick up some savory and sweet treats. They’re small enough to fit in a purse, they’re more affordable compared to the premium-priced food at the theater, and will satisfy your cravings.

2. Home organizers

I hate it when my home looks like a hot mess, and I can’t live without home organizers. If you want to tidy up, go to our favorite budget-friendly store and pick up some plastic storage bins. You can use them for organizing your kitchen cupboards, bathroom drawers, pantry, or desk drawers.

They come in different sizes, colors, and shapes, so you can choose something that works for you. I, for example, recently purchased some 12-inch by 12-inch collapsible storage cubes to organize my bottom shelf in my closet. They’re pretty durable and sturdy and cost far less than similar ones at Target or Walmart.

3. Greeting cards

Let’s face it: you buy someone a greeting card because you think it’s a nice and lovely gesture (which it is), but the majority of people will throw them in the garbage sooner or later.

So, why spend up to $10 on a beautiful piece of paper that could end up in the trash anyway? Whether you want a card that’s funny, sentimental, or simply nice, you can find lots of cheaper and beautiful options at Dollar Tree.

4. Household essentials

If you need cleaning supplies, say no more, because Dollar Tree has got you covered with a plethora of affordable options. Whether you need spray bottles, sponges, or microfiber cloths, you can find anything you want there.

Believe it or not, their off-brand cleaning supplies frequently work just as well as the name brands but cost a fraction of the price. My cleaning cabinet wouldn’t be complete without these products, so check this out!

5. Books and stationery steals

If you didn’t pay attention to Dollar Tree’s fabulous book and stationery section until this point, it’s time to take a second look, because it’s a true gem. You can find everything you want there, from planners to journals where you can write down your thoughts after a tough day.

You can also find a plethora of pens and notebooks in all the styles, shapes, and colors you want. The store even offers books at significantly lower prices than any other bookstore. My grandchildren love receiving cute notepads for their school to-do lists, so I’m a regular Dollar Tree customer.

6. Kitchen staples

If you love to cook as much as I do, you probably constantly look for the best utensils. But if you want to save money and still get all the utensils you need, check out this store, because it has an impressive variety of kitchen essentials, from utensils and bakeware to food storage options.

I like to get mixing bowls, towels, and measuring cups from this store, and they get the job done just like any other more expensive alternative. And if you can’t be bothered with an extra trip to the grocery store, you could get spices, snacks, and pantry items from the Dollar Tree as well.

7. Kids supplies

If you want to treat your lovely grandchildren to something nice without overspending, this is your sign to pay this store a visit. This retailer is a goldmine for books, games, and budget-friendly toys. My grandchildren love their selection of craft kits, coloring books, and puzzles. You’ll keep the little ones entertained without burning a hole in your pocket.

Speaking of creating fun moments with your favorite children, I must say that Dollar Tree has a wonderful selection of party favors and goodie bag fillers. It’s my secret weapon, and now it’s yours too!

8. Party supplies

Do you plan on hosting a party anytime soon? Then you must get your supplies from the Dollar Tree. Whether it’s balloons, themed plates and cutlery, or colorful cups, these items are budget-friendly and fun.

Their party aisle is packed with colorful, affordable, and high-quality options that will ensure you celebrate in style without blowing your budget. Baby shower, birthday party, or a casual BBQ—you name it, the Dollar Tree has everything you want.

9. Craft supplies

Calling’ out all the DIYers! If you’re into crafts, you’re going to love Dollar Tree’s craft section. You can find everything you want there, from glitter and paint to canvasses, ribbons, and even bigger tools to bring your artistic ideas to life.

Whether you need supplies for a weekend craft session with your little ones or a bigger project for your home, this aisle is just perfect to support your creativity on a budget.

10. Seasonal decor

Do you want to make your home look amazing all year long? Then you must check out Dollar Tree’s decor aisle, because it’s just too good to be missed. Whether you need Halloween pumpkins, Christmas ornaments, or spring floral arrangements, everything you need is there.

You’ll love finding trendy items like charming rustic farmhouse decorations and fun party favors for themed events! The best part? They’re all just a dollar (or just a bit more in some places). These great finds make it so easy to keep your home festive and stylish without breaking the bank. I can’t resist leaving without picking up something cute for my mantel or porch!
